How Being a Leader Has Affected My Life By Jane Bausa
12/9/2007 1:14:59 PM
Being a leader has affected my life in many ways. The most important being the satisfaction I have worked in negotiating our raises; working with the district on a plan to co-sponsor Healthy Families for our part time employees. Also, helping to get us to join the Local Labor Union Council, and best of all helping to get rid of Alan Bersin by campaigning to get union friendly leaders into our school board. ...More

Essential Work – Extraordinary Workers

The people behind the message...

5/6/2006 12:56:53 PM
If nobody smiled and nobody cared, and nobody helped us along...

If every moment looked after itself and good things all went to the strong... If nobody cared at all about you and nobody cared about me, and we stood alone in the battle of life, what a dreary old world this would be!

For 20 years, Classified School Employee Week has been a special time to demonstrate pride in our work and the valuable contributions we make to public education.

Let us show our communities the people behind the message:
Essential Work – Extraordinary Workers
That life is sweet because of the friends we have made, the work we do, and the things in common we share.

We want to live on, not because of ourselves but because of the people who care.

It is doing and giving for somebody else on which much of life's splendor depends. The joy of this world, when you've summed it all up is found in the making of friends!

Thank You for Giving So Much of Yourself....
Thank You for Sharing Your Smiles....
And Thank You for Being EXTRAORDINARY!
Your work is ESSENTIAL...YOU MAKE A DIFFERENCE IN OUR LIVES!

Be PROUD CLASSIFIED....and have a GREAT SUMMER!

In solidarity,

Jane Bausa, Chapter President
