MEMBER'S RATIFIED NEW CONTRACT!!

Chapter members voted on the contract which now will be in place as of July 2009 until June 2012. Language was cleaned up in the contract and now included new language on military family leave, dropping the 2 tier increase in pay so that now part-time employees will be able to go to the next step on their anniversary instead of half a step. These are a few changes that took place.
The District still has the options to reopen Wages and Health & Welfare. At the moment there are no changes in Health Benefits but expect to see some in the up coming year. As far as a pay raise, until the economy gets better in California, there won't be any for a while.
