The CSEA Board of Directors consists of five Constitutional Officers and 10 Area Directors, each of whom is democratically elected by CSEA members. Officers are elected by delegates at the union’s Annual Conference and Area Directors are elected by the chapters they represent in the months preceding the conference.

All Board members are volunteers who work regular classified jobs. Only the Association President is granted full release time from his/her classified job. The Constitutional Officers, including the Association President, First Vice President, Second Vice President and Secretary serve two-year terms with a two term limit for each office. Area Directors and Alternate Area Directors serve two-year terms with no limits.

The CSEA Board of Directors holds meetings once a month at CSEA Headquarters and at locations throughout the state. These meetings are open to all CSEA members. Minutes and agendas of Board meetings are available to members on this Web site.
