CSEA members set course for year ahead at 91st Annual Conference

More than 1,600 CSEA member-delegates gathered in Las Vegas for CSEA’s 91st Annual Conference. Representing their local chapters back home, they voted on 18 resolutions, adopted a budget, elected new Association officers and set the course for the year ahead. Delegates elected Ben Valdepeña as Association President, who said he is ready to lead the fight against the threats that we face and continue to build our great union’s strength and power.

Elect Michael Bilbrey, David Miller to CalPERS Board

CSEA proudly supports the re-election Michael Bilbrey along with David Miller to the CalPERS Board of Administration. The election will occur in September.

2017-18 State Budget increases funding for public schools

Gov. Brown signed a balanced budget that increases school funding, includes language to protect the rights of new workers and provides an additional $25 million for the California Classified School Employee Teacher Credentialing program.
Safe Zone Resolution

CSEA supports school safe zones

The CSEA Board of Directors passed a resolution entitled “CSEA Supports Public Schools as Safe Zones for all of California’s Students.”
