Want career mobility? Don’t know where to start? There are a lot of options for growth and change. Explore your options and discover how to use your interests, values, and skills to determine which careers are good matches.  In this first of three career classes in the Career: Upward Mobility section, learn to brand yourself, and answer the question, “How can I be a happier me in my career?" This course will help you:

  • Determine your professional objective using your interests, skills, values, personal characteristics and priorities
  • Create a strategic personal marketing plan

So you’ve got your resume ready, your career field narrowed down, and you’re ready to get that new job or promotion.  But how do you get your resume to the right people, and what do you do once you’ve landed that big interview? Don’t worry, we’re here to help! In the last of our three classes in the Career: Upward Bound section, we will look at how to prepare yourself for that last and final hurdle before you land that new job or promotion. 

This course will help you:

  • Identify ways to get interviews
  • Discover how to answer interview questions
  • Analyze job skill competencies
  • Differentiate between different types of interviews
  • Practice interviewing
