CSEA's Maria Tapia honored with national RISE Award
Maria Tapia, a Librarian at Ocean View Junior High School in Oxnard and president of CSEA's Ocean View Chapter 599 was honored in Washington, D.C. as one of the 2018 Recognizing Inspiring School Employees (RISE) Award winners.

2018 Community College Classified Employee of the Year Award
CSEA members James Forté and Sherri Suarez were among the four outstanding community college employees selected to receive the 2018 Community College Classified Employee of the Year Award.

Classified School Employee Week
California celebrates Classified School Employee Week May 20-26 and honor the contributions of classified school employees. From transporting and feeding students to teaching them vital skills and ensuring that schools are operating smoothly, classified employees are the heartbeat of our schools and community colleges.
CSEA Annual Conference
CSEA's 92nd Annual Conference will be held at the Sacramento Convention Center July 29 - Aug. 2, 2018 with pre-conference activities beginning on Sunday, July 29.
