Rob Feckner, who served as CSEA President for two terms (2005-2009), is School Representative on the California Public Employees' Retirement System (CalPERS). CalPERS is the largest pension fund in the U.S., serving 1.9 million State and local public employees including CSEA members. Feckner has been on the CalPERS Board of Administration since 1999, including 12 years as Board President.
Feckner also works as a glazing specialist with Napa Valley Unified School District, where he has been employed since 1977. His responsibilities with the district have included driving a school bus and helping special needs students as an instructional assistant.
As CSEA President, Feckner championed healthcare reform and oversaw the establishment of CSEA's Humanitarian Fund. Feckner regularly encouraged members to volunteer their time and get involved in their local communities. In 2009, he was awarded CSEA Life Membership.
