District B Director Paulette Foster

Hello retiree unit members of District B,

I am excited about my new adventure as your Retiree Unit District B Director.

I was a CSEA classified member from 1969 to 2013.  I worked at the College of Marin in the Student Service Department. Two of my main job responsibilities were being the Certifying Official with the Department of Veterans Affairs, assisting our returning veterans in receiving their GI Bill benefits. I also was the Designated School Official, working with the US Department of Immigration in issuing international students F-1 student visas.

I was always a very active College of Marin chapter 196 CSEA member and held officer positions including, President, Past President, Vice-President, Communications Officer, and Pre-Retirement Person. I became active as a CSEA Area B State Committee member in 1990. I served on the Research and Negotiations Committee, Community College Committee, and Regional Representative 80 Area B.

I joined the the CSEA Retiree Unit in 2013 and continue to be an active member by serving as the Vice-President of Council 5013. I was appointed to the Retiree Unit Political Action Committee in 2017.

I am looking forward to the year ahead in working with all the District B members and leaders.

CSEA and the community

CSEA members are known for being active in the community. In many ways, that's what being a CSEA member is all about.
